🎤 Technique — vocal breaks, easy belting, runs, intimidating high notes
🧠 Psychology — the nerves, the spiral, the inner critic that keeps yelling at you
✨ Branding — your unique sound, emotional delivery, becoming an unforgettable artist
✓ You're already good. This isn't a beginner class. It's for (semi-)professional singers closing the gap between good and iconic.
✓ You're tired of sounding Adele adjacent in the shower, and like a scared little mouse the second people are watching.
✓ You want to sing with such emotional honesty that you can move an audience to tears.
✓ You want a signature sound that's memorable, recognizable, and undeniably yours.
✓ You want to feel free and expressive under pressure (a live TV performance, a career-defining audition, a high-stakes recording session... or, you know, life.)
✓ You want to stop fighting with your inner critic and start supporting yourself.
✓ You want practical tools & exercises built for YOU, not a generic vocal warmup.
"Maru taught me how to expel the anxiety out of my body and voice through vocal psychology techniques. It has helped me show up to the mic with more confidence and authenticity." — Blair
"I really appreciated how Maru helped me shift my focus inward toward sensation, play, and trust rather than monitoring how I sound externally. That reframing felt very clarifying and immediately useful." — Julie
"Maru truly has a gift of seeing so much potential in her vocalists and just what they need to get them to the next level." — Tazrin
Can't wait to dive in with you and get YOUR voice to the next level 🤗

Who is Maru?
Maru began her career as a psychologist in the Netherlands before stepping into the music industry as a singer-songwriter and performer. For the past 15 years she has worked as a coach, now based in Los Angeles, and working with artists all over the world. Her career spans work with Sony, Warner, Disney, and TedX. That dual lens — scientific and artistic — became the foundation of Vocal Psychology®: a performance method that integrates nervous system regulation, performance psychology, and vocal technique into one cohesive framework.
Her work is built on a single conviction: the voice is not just an instrument. It is a direct reflection of your relationship with yourself.
